Virgin Australia really has great long haul service and F/As are very polished and friendly. Unfortunately they were not given good catering to serve to passengers. Virgin Australia does not upgrade its trans-Tasman business class meals like Qantas and Air New Zealand. There was no hot towel service, as well as linen service. We are given two choices for breakfast - one hot, which is a scrambled egg with chorizo that looked nicely presented but tasted bad. The chorizo were mushy, or cold, which is a muesli or cornflakes dish. There is a nice fruit bowl with a freshly warmed croissant. It is basically economy class food served in business class chinaware. No wonder the loading in business class was pretty bad.
