Economy Class

Breakfast , Special meal: no
A nice breakfast, the fruit was the star as it was both plentiful and very fresh and delightful after the dryness and dehydration of an ultra-long-haul flight. Everything was good or great. The yogurt tasted good, but it contained dairy, so I had to be careful how much I ate, unfortunately. I do wish airlines considered very common dairy allergies more often with their catering. Now, the poached eggs in this unique manner were a very elevated surprise over the omelet I was expecting to be offered. A dish loaded with umami (the ingredient you want on planes to boost taste) and also full of bold flavors. Sadly, it very quickly gave me heartburn (uncommon for me while traveling), I had to lay off most of the base of this entree. Still, I rate it a solid 8 for creativity, taste, and quantity, even though I didn't get to enjoy it the way I'd have liked. It may not look as fancy as the Emirates Premium Economy offering on the start of my trip, but I honestly put them just a peg below EK because the bread basket on EK was a nice touch, but otherwise, this was close to on par. As with the dinner service, the crew was great, and again the vegetarians and vegans on the flight were not happy about the lack of an accurate menu lol.

Maison Roche Bordeaux (full mini-bottle!)

Premium Plus Breakfast (exact details unknown due to catering snafu): Poached eggs in some tomato-based sauce loaded with olives along with fresh fruit and yogurt plus a croissant.
