TAP is the only non charter-airline which flies nonstop to destinations in Northeast-Brazil as Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza. Other Airlines (AF, IB and even Varig) fly via Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo with domestic conecting flights, which makes the flight much longer. TAP takes advantage of this monopoly. Inflight service was very poor and staff unpolite. On the connecting flight Lissbon-Frankfurt the service and meals has been much better, due to competition on this route.
