Singapore Airlines really tries to find ways to cut costs. Traditionally, this 8am flight features breakfast after takeoff and then refreshment prior to arrival. Now they serve you warmed nuts after takeoff, and then waited two hours before serving lunch at 10am Singapore time. Thankfully the Korean set meal was pretty good, but the soup promised in the menu description never arrived. The starter of scallop and yam noodles were good, and the main course of chicken was good too. I love the Pear soup for dessert. However, the portion for the meal is too small for a six hour flight.
