Dinner Contents of meal: Entree of Prawn&Asparagus Salad with dressing, followed by a Navarin of Lamb with delicious mash potato, followed by cheese platter, port and later premium ice cream (Menu Card)

The service was very professional. Pre-dinner drinks were accompanied with a menu (choice of 3 mains). The starter came with a selection of tasty dressings + bread rolls. The lamb dish was restaurant quality & presentation- and quite generous; one of the tastiest airline meals I have ever had. Having enjoyed it with a couple of glasses of McLaren Vale red; desert was a choice of sweet or savory; I opted for the latter (photo). A plate with generous portions of vintage cheddar and Brie from King Island, Tasmania; a huge date, dried apricots and biscuits. Mmmm.. Port (and unlimited champagne/wine) was offered, but i declined in favor of coffee, which came with a chocolate coated macadamia nut. The whole exercise sent me to sleep listening to Qantas' excellent Classic radio channel . Later in the flight, a welcoming premium ice cream was offered... a treat both economy and business class passengers get on flights to/from Perth.
