Dinner - Chicken, with noodles and gravy. The white stuff may have been either potatoes, turnips or cauliflower, I honestly couldn't tell which. There was also mixed vegetables, a dinner roll and some type of "strudel" (Menu Card)

I stuck with water and coffee

"The chicken tasted much better than it looked, and the noodles weren't bad, but i had absolutely no idea what the white sliced stuff was...Whatever it was, it was covered with rasins and almonds. The vegetables were a bit on the mushy side, and I stopped after a spoonful. The roll would have made a better projectile than anything else, and I spent the next hour getting the inevitable crumbs out of my new sweater. The cake was sweet and overall pretty good. This wasn't a particularly horrible meal, but any high school cafeteria would put this meal to shame. Some traditional German food would have been nice..."
