midnight snack - Arab-style lasagne -- not as much tomato sauce and meat filled -- plus dessert consisting of three different kinds of melon.

Usual selection - fruit juices, soft drinks, bottled water, and wines.

"Considering the hour -- the flight left Bahrain at 23:30 -- this was a substantial snack, though I'd have appreciated some bread. That said, the lasagne was quite tasty, and the melon was excellent. Note, also, that Gulf has not done away with metal knives, either! Hurrah!"
