Dinner , Special meal: no
Emirates Business class on the leg to Bangkok. Strangely, the meals on this flight which goes AKL-SYD-BGK-DXB repeat depending which leg and which direction you go so I got exactly the same choices offered as on a flight from Sydney to Auckland over 2 months ago. Besides the slight boredom in the menu itself, the starter of sliced Wagyu withTruffled Burrata was absolutely divine and better than some a First class meal. What a let down then the lamb as main which tasted like a cheewy old Mutton rather than nice lamb meat. It actually looks nicer on the picture than it really was and I left half of the portion untouched which is very unlike me. The cheese platter than, on the other side, was really good with no less than 5 choices and presented on a lovely lava stone board. Shortly before landing, we were also served a light snack for which I chose pasta with chicken. That latter meal was probably the weakest of them all, just not enough and lots of other passengers around me also said that it should be a bigger portion, i.e. a proper second meal.
