All in all, not a bad meal. The tomato soup was extremely bland so I had to pour lots of salt and pepper into it. The steak however was surprisingly juicy which is not easy to do on an airplane. The highlight I thought was the cheese platter, as always on EK lovely presented on a faux wood board but also offering no less than 6 (six!) different cheeses. A lot of airlines could learn from this!

Other: 777 on EK only 'alright' as an aircraft and way below their A380 product. 'Flat seat' not fully flat which makes it being a rather outdated product overall. Service can be hit and miss on EK but was pleasant and mostly attentive on this particular flight. Loved getting hot towels 4 times on a rather short flight!
