The meal is unusually delicious for a Cathay flight as the catering is done by Thai Airways out of Bangkok. This is Thai pork curry with veggies and rice. The crew was absolutely not knowledgeable about the meal offerings - they said "veggie curry with rice" and forgot to mention the pork part. Usual fruit cup, signature Cathay whiter than white low gluten bread roll with no texture, and Haagen Dazs strawberry and cream ice cream.

Equipment: The old Dragonair 330 aircraft with "first class" - so two "classes" of J - being real lie flat J class and "fake J"/ premium economy. The crew also decided to turn off IFE before safety announcement and as soon as the plane landed, which means there was an hour of staring at the inflight map.
