The meal started with a pre-dinner serving of warmed nuts and red wine. The meal consisted of a root vegetable and dip appetiser, a salad, warmed bread, roasted chicken with tomato chutney, potato, and hericot verts, and a chocolate chip brownie for dessert. This is the same meal served by American on this route for the last several months. Each time though, the chicken is prepared in a slightly different manner. The unusual part of this meal was that there was no dressing for the salad, which is fine with me as American is unimaginative with salad dressings.

Equipment: The place settings were standard for this airline. The airplane was dated and most likely used by US Airways prior to the merge with American.   //   Other: Our flight attendant was outstanding and I give him a 10/10. He usually works international premium cabin and it was obvious. He brought a second round of warmed nuts. He kept drink glasses full and brought water with each drink which is a good idea in the dry environment of an airplane. He brought a second serving of warmed bread. Time and meal availability, he probably would have brought additional servings of salad, entree, and dessert. Very hospitable and obviously loves his job.
