Some almonds, cashew nuts and walnuts to go with the apéritif. For the appetizer, I went for the basil-flavored potato flan. Then I had the tortiglioni pasta in a San Marzano tomato sauce, followed by the beef fillet with potato gratin, spinach and mushroom sauce. Finally, I had the ricotta and raisin pie served with a chocolate sauce. Also, to go with dinner, were a bread roll and butter. Light meals, snacks and beverages are available throughout the flight. A glass of Ferrari Trento Brut as the welcome drink, followed by a mimosa as the apéritif. To go with the meal, a glass of Pinot Nero DOC Elena Walch and some still water.
An excellent meal; the pasta in particular was truly exceptional. Well done, ITA Airways! I also liked that every course was served separately, rather than having everything on a tray. Another noteworthy thing is that the meal was served according to the Italian meal structure; i.e. there was a "first course" consisting of a pasta dish, followed by a "second course" of either meat or fish.
