This flight (FRA-ADD) had a technical stop in Jeddah, where the caterer (and the food quality) changed significantly. Therefore, I am rating each segment separately. The first segment from Frankfurt to Jeddah was catered by LSG (a Lufthansa owned food company). I was really satisfied with the service and the food. At first there was a Brotzeitteller (can be translated to "light snack") on the LH Oktoberfest weeks. It tasted like at home in Bavaria, was fresh and good. I felt like I was in a beer garden at home :) I was asked by the staff when they can serve my main course (that's a huge plus, I wasn't too hungry so I waited a bit). I got fish and it tasted fresh. The sauce was tasty, too, it fitted together. The tiramisu, later on, was a bit small, but good. It was a bit too cold in my opinion. As a snack, there were bagels and sandwiches. I ordered some during the rest time and it has the perfect snack size. I wasn't dissatisfied with any of the dishes. The choice was wide and it tasted fresh. For business class, this was above average.
