China (AKA) to United States (MXA), 05 Jan 2005

Business Class

The only type: Snack. (Menu Card)
1 x packet of Ding Dong (dried peas, chickpeas etc with chili powder flavouring), 1 x packet of sizzling Bar-B-Q pork rice crackers, 2 x fluorescent green coconut flavoured cupcakes, 1 x lemon boiled sweet (not visible). All served graciously in my somewhat sunburnt lap complete with napkin, plastic bag & straw.

Choice of water or orange juice. The OJ was pleasantly half frozen!

Domestic air travel in the Philippines is not for the feint at heart. I’ve now done 4 sectors with Asian Spirit. All have been comfortable trips, that is if you don’t mind being able to slide the cabin wall linings 6 inches fore or aft to even up the gaps between them. The flight attendants are what make this airline special - when asked if we understood the emergency exit procedures my friend responded “Sure, we’ll help them out”, and the F/A found this hysterical.
