butternut squash ravioli with tarragon cream sauce, shaved parmesan, red pepper and grilled zucchini
'chocolate pyramid' for dessert with berries
Drink: a nice red Bordeaux, coffee with dessert
Comments: Fantastic! The ravioli was just incredible one of the best plates of pasta I have ever had. The dessert was filled with a wonderful chocolate mousse and tasted as great as it looked.
The service was done really fast since the flight left at 9:00pm and most passengers went right to sleep after dinner. Service however was very personal and professional. The seats convert to beds in Virgin Upper class and are REALLY comfortable. First time I have gotten a good nights sleep on the airplane. Their upper class is a really fantastic product.

nice. Chicken was moist and tasty, and the salad was quite fresh. the
cake was a bit hard and wasn't as nice as the mud cake and carrot cake
that we've got on outbound flight. the virgin atlantic meal size is
relatively small but i think that's good coz normally they tend to
overfeed people on airline.

Dinner: Steak Pie with Mash Potato and Carrotts as the main portion, with Salad, Crunchie Dessert, a Bread Roll, Cheese Crackers, Water, a Glass of White Wine, a Chocolate, and a Cup of Tea as the side items.
Snack: A Strawberry Ice Cream.
Snack: Cheese and Pickle Sandwiches with a KitKat and Cup of Tea. Very, very tasty! If Virgin ever move into the business of Sandwich making, the world will be a better place!
Drink: Cola, Water, Wine, and Tea.
Comments: As always, excellent service and excellent meals with Virgin Atlantic. My only slight complaint is that the Carrotts were a little on the hard side, but the Cheese and Pickle Sandwiches more than made up for that!

Pasta, bread, salad, chocolate desert
Drink: water, white wine followed by tea (other drinks available)
Comments: Rather disappointing food served by Virgin on this afternoon flight. The main course that I chose was a chicken in pasta concoction. The pasta was a very overcooked and the sauce was very salty. However, this is only to be expected of airline food. What did surprise me was the chicken: not very tender and it tasted very much like turkey if I wasn> '> t mistaken. To top the chicken dish off was a limp, soggy bit of > "> garlic bread> "> . The accompanying salad was okay, very tasty olives let down by an attempt at roasted vegetables - the peppers and piece of courgette in there were not roasted on the inside regardless of how they had been made to look on the outside. Desert was a Cadbury Crunchy type desert with a very watery chocolate sauce, which I found a bit sickly. I expected better food and better service. Meal gave me indigestion

[083] * Drinks with pretzels (I don't like them :-(
[084] * Lunch. I asked for Muslim meal and what I got was a vegetarian meal. If I wanted a vegetarian meal I could have ordered it. I don't like when airlines claim to have many different meal options but in reality they have just two. with meat and without meat and Virgin Atlantic was no different. Having said that vegetable rice and vegetable curry was reasonably good with good spices. I think I got green salad and fresh fruits (just a few pieces) as dessert which was better than what other were getting. Cheese was great.
[085] * Ice Cream was a good idea.
[086] * Pre arrival snack of a sandwich and a muffin. Bread was too hard and dry.
Coffee or tea and softdrinks were available.

Meal type: Snack
Contents of the meal: (Vegan) A banana, and a fresh veggie wrap.
Drink: None.
Comments: Wow! This certainly tops all other VS snacks and most other airlines main meals. The banana was *shock* all yellow and was not a small thing. The wrap was a decent size and could have been a bit bigger, but was filled with wonderful fresh veggies. My seat mate said that she would consider ordering a vegan meal just because of the comparison in meal quality.

Drink: VMix Diet Cola (not pictured) and red wine
Comments: This was not my seat mate's first choice, and the options were down to this and something else with 10 rows still to be served (the veggie option ran out quickly). It ended up not being so good; I think the rest of the rear part of the plane would agree.
