Ticket price: 421,15 Euro
Flight duration: 5 hours
Aircraft type & class: A320 – Economy (one class only)
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Dinner
Contents of the meal: Pasta dish with tomatoes, pees, onions and Parmesan cheese – Bread, butter and Maredsous cheese spread – Vanilla Pudding
Drink: Stella Artois Beer (1,50 Euro) and 2 rounds of coffee
Comments: Thomas Cook promises tasteful hot meals with an entrée and a dessert – I whish them good luck!
On the flight from Brussels to Sharm I had a German red wine (3 Euro) but it tasted more like vinegar than wine! I really don’t care to pay for my drinks but please don’t sell me rubbish then! About the only thing good about FQ are their flight attendants (only 4 for 180 passengers but they are very proffesional - I guess most of them are ex-Sabena) and their bagage allowence (20 kg unlike 15 kg on most charter flights + very reasonable fares for sports equipement). Their infight entertainment is crap (on many of the audio channels there was no music at all and the sound quality is very bad), check-in takes ages (about 1,5 hours in both Brussels and Sharm) and the cabin is worn out (I think most of the FQ Airbusses are second hand from either Condor or JMC) and/or not cleaned very well.
