Flight duration: 2h 20min
Aircraft type: B777, Economy
Meal type: Dinner - (052) Pre-dinner snack of dried beans
and a drink.
(053 / 054) Meal choice of Thai style pork with steamed vegetables and
rice, or, fired fish with red wine sauce with rice and vegetables.
Bread roll, potato and sausage salad, Thai style sweet.
Drinks: anything
Comments:
The pre-dinner snack of dried beans was very nice, Delicious!
The Thai pork was a bit strange. A bit sour. No quite like what we had
on the ground. Maybe it was meant to be a sweet and sour pork, but they
forgot the 'sweet'? However, the vegetables and rice were good.
The sauce in the fish dish was good, but the fish tended to be a bit dry.
The dessert was nice, a bit sweet.
The potato salad was good.
Ratings: 5 overall

Flying from: HKG to BKK, 31 May 2003
Flight duration: 2h 15min
Aircraft type: A330, Economy
Meal type: Dinner - Pre-dinner snack of peanuts and a
tomatoe juice.
Choice of pork in peppercorn sauce with buttered noodles and vegetables,
or seafood in white sauce with rice. Bread roll (warm, but went cold and
hard very quickly), roast duck salad, coconut and coffee dessert.
Drinks: I had a Thai red wine (cabernet sauvignon which
tasted quite ok. It was specially packed for TG.
Comments: The roast duck salad was fine. The meat was
tender, but a bit flavourless. The warm bread roll went cold very quickly.
The pork medallions were very dry. However, the buttered noodles and the
peppercorn sauce was very flavourful. The seafood rice was very bland.
The cocnut dessert was a bit too sweet, but tasty nevertheless.
Ratings: 3 for the seafood, 5 for the pork, mainly for
the noodles and the sauce.
