Comments: First they give you the tray with the fruits and the coffee,

Meal: LATE DINNER - Gravlax plate, grilled beef fillet and sauteed vegetables,
cheese and strawberry tartlet
Drink: anything you liked
Comments: the starter comes on a tray with the cheese which is a good
idea as the flight a night flight is. The salmon was fantastic, soup could
have been ordered as well. For the main course a choice between three
different entrees was offered and the beef was cooked medium which is
quite uncommon on a plane. It tasted like at home and the vegetables were
perfect. The cheese was californian one and the blue cheese was one of
the best I ever tasted ans I travel a lot !! Dessert was somewhat disapointing
with the strawberry having no taste... But overall a very nice dinner
rounded off with a superbe glass of cognac !

Flight duration: 2h 35m

Aircraft: Airbus A320-214 named 'Wildspitz'
Meal: Dinner - Steak with "Spätzli" and vegetables, salad.
Drink: Apéritif: Gin Tonic, French red wine, still water, tea,
baileys.
Comments: As we rushed (boarding completed 10 minutes after scheduled
departure time) no pre-take-off drink was served. The meal was great,
it is rare to get meat perfectly cooked in planes, this steak was perfect,
the mustard sauce delicious. The balsamico dressing in the little bottle
is back, it was temporary substituted by a dressing in a plastic cup as
you get at McD. They served the Lindt&Sprüngli chocolates during
tea/coffee service, but no desert was served. The flight attendant was
one of the best I ever saw, she served the wine perfectly (left hand behind
the body while serving and other littel things, like in a top restaurant)
however as she opened the Champage bottle for my neighbor, she spread
it in the whole cabin. I was really like after a Formula One GP. But her
reaction was great and nobody was angry.

Meal: Breakfast - 1 course:
Cold plate with fruits, cheese and meat.
2 course:
Hot dish with patatoes, eggs, mushrooms and spinach.
Drink: OJ before take-off, Tea, multi vitamin juice, later on Champagne
Comments: A very good business class breakfast. The cups had been heaten
up, that keeps the beverage hot till you finish. The main dish was a bit
tasteless, but with a little salt it was good. You could have as many
rolls and refills as you wanted. After the meal, one cabin attendant served
us the chocolates from the economy class. The other cabin attendant saw
that mistake and imediately brought the right chocolate (pralines from
Lindt&Sprüngli, not pictured).
The crew member in charge of the business class cabin was very friendly
and attentive, however the purser seemed very tired and not that motivated.

Comments: enjoyed the appetiser but was not very amused about the main

the most tasteful on this swiss air flight was the risotto, smooth and
creamy and the whole cabin smelled from the flowerful mushroom, well done
but no thyme on the plate either

Drink: I had apple juice
Comments: The meal was nice and warm.
However, the fish, tasted bland.
The fruit slices were good though. I particularly liked the sweet pineapples.
However, the service was not too good as the flight attendents scrambled
to serve a rather full flight. Two flight attendents were serving drinks
and both missed giving me and the dude sitting next to me a drink. The
flight attendent call button also had little use as no call was responded
to.
Overall, Swiss did not obtain a satisfying service level.

Mid-flight desert: Wonderful Mövenpick caramel ice cream
Snack: Half a pizza with a glass of Swiss white wine
Comments: Probably still one of the best airlines on North American routes,
but you can see every cent they try to save: nearly everything is plastic
(glasses, cuttlery) or cardbox (cups), the nuts of the pre-lunch drink
are gone (here again, see it in a positif way: many other airlines don’t
even serve a pre-lunch drink...), the portions are quite small (three
little pieces of chicken) and the desert of the main meal is a pre-packet
item (comparing to a mousse or a piece of cake in earlier years). The
quality of the main meal was very good, the pizza however had an industrial
taste. Thumbs up for the Baileys and the delicious ice cream!
