Airline: Monarch Airlines (Charter Division)

Route: Birmingham (UK) to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, 29 Sep 2003
Ticket price: £190
Flight duration: 4 Hours and 30 Minutes
Aircraft type & Class: Airbus Industries A-321 / Economy
Business or leisure trip?: Leisure
Meal type: Breakfast - Micro portion of scrambled egg, sausage and beans. Bread roll, butter, fruit salad and jam.
Drink: Orange Juice and water (the orange was free, the water wasn’t)
Comments: Typical airline breakfast. Lacking in substance. Larger portions on a 4hour 30 minute flight would have been better. However, the meal on the way back was much nicer. (Roast chicken).

Flying from: LGW to Alicante, 10 June 2003, ZB728 B757
Ticket price: GBP54.00
Flight duration: 2h20
Meal: Dinner
Drink: Free being a schedule flight
Comments: We were served a drink first with a snack (pic 1) Dinner consisted of a salad that included mangos and the cod mornay was very tasty. The wine let itself down being "del tiempo" (room temperature) and was a vino de la mesa to boot. Biggest drawback was seating pitch which was definately Charter (I guess at 29 inches).
Rating: But when all said and done, not bad at all, so, 8
