Route: TXL DE - TLL EE (Berlin/Germany - Tallinn/Estonia), 18 NOV 2004, FLIGHT OV158
Ticket price: EUR 137.54 (return ticket)
Flight duration: 1 hour and 45 minutes
Aircraft type and class: Boeing 737-500, economy (Y)
Business, leisure: leisure
Meal: snack (served sharp at 2 p.m.)
A ham sandwich with rye bread and a small Swiss chocolate praline.
Drinks: orange, apple or tomatoe juice, French red and white wine of choice, Estonian beer, coffee or tea.
Comments: I was hungry, so I ate this; thanks God I had bought two egg-rolls in the airport right before departure. The only thing I was really glad to see was that nice Swiss chocolate. Viva la Svizzera.
Rating: 2 (cold and cholesterol-saturated, too). An economy-class flyer cannot choose any special meal type. I was extremely sorry that I had not chosen the alternative easy.Jet airliner on the same route - well, I wouldn't have had meal served onboard but at least the flight itself would have cost me one hundred Euro less! Believe me, with a green Eur 100-banknote I could afford very good lunch both before departure and upon arrival.

Flying from: Tallinn to Copenhagen, 5 December 2002
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-500JET Economy
Meal Type: Unable to classify - "What was in the meal?" Very good question! - Starter: Cold rice with a few peas, sweet corn and olive skin. - Main Course: But I believe it was Cold Baltic Herring (those 3 pieces of grey, slimy things on the left), Potato Salad (recycled I think), Lettuce (left by the snails as being inedible), piece of tomato (for colour). Bread Roll (Warm on arrival, but overdone in microwave so solid within a few minutes - Sweet: Able to break this stodgy, doughy into pieces, but no flavour at all, so not sure what it was supposed to be.
Drink: By the glass (plastic beaker), Red was very nicely "Chilled"
Comments "One of the worst "in-flight" meals I've ever seen and tried to eat, Oh and incidentally same meal served on the outward flight from
Copenhagen to Tallinn on 30 Nov. 2002. Wasn't I a lucky traveller ? Oh and please look at the Maersk Air site, Maersk own a major share of Estonian
Air, hopefully you can see the connection!"
