Route: Genoa to Olbia, 2 Aug 2004
Flight Duration: 50 minutes
Class: Economy class on ATR42-500.
Meal: Refreshment
A packet of crackers and a box of confectionery quality "cantuccini" biscuits.
Drink: Prosecco wine out of a selection of soft cold/hot drinks/wines.
Comments: An extremely good level of service, being a domestic flight andthis being economy. Being a lunch time flight, Air Dolomiti provides a "reinforced" snack with both crackers and biscuits. The cantuccini, a specialty almond biscuit from Tuscany, were very fresh and crunchy. The good quality wine was served in a real glass.
The cabin layout, with blueish green leather seats throughout the cabin, and nice and helpful flight attendants made up for another great flight on this airline

Route: Olbia to Genoa CDG, 30 Jul 2004
Flight Duration: 50 minutes
Class: Business class on ATR72-500.
Meal: Refreshment
An amaretto mousse.
Drink: Orange juice and coffee out of a selection of soft cold/hot drinks/wines.
Comments: A very good level of service, being a domestic flight. AirDolomiti is the only carrier providing a two class cabin on Domestic flights within Italy. The amaretto mousse was very nice, and served chilled in a real glass with nice good quality plastic spoons. It was perfect as a mid afternoon refreshment in a hot July afternoon. The cabin layout and flight attendants were up to the (usual) high Air Dolomiti standard.

Meal: Breakfast

Flying from: Munich to Turin, 14 March 2003
Class: Economy class on ATR42-500.
Meal: Dinner/Snack - A very nice looking cardboard box containing
a "grissini" breadstick, 2 slices of speck (typical northern Italian smoked
ham), 2 slices of provola cheese, 3 tangerine segments and 2 sundried
prunes, a chocolate coated cream and jam filled pastry, crackers.
Drink: A glass of Prosecco, Italian sparkling wine, out of a selection of soft drinks, juices, wines, mineral water (still/sparkling) or tea/coffee.
Comments: "Not too much food, yet here it really shows how you can do something appealing to the public without overfeeding people. Theflight attendants didn't mention if they were going to offer a snack or a dinner: they just called it a "Settimocielo" proposal. No branded food on Air Dolomiti, only simple and good typical items to tease your plate. The speck was very tasty and went perfectly with the Prosecco, cheese was nice, the tangerine perfectly ripe and the pastry was nice for this 1hour 10 minutes late evening flight. As on all Air Dolomiti flights, add to this a very comfortable green leather seat and nice stewardesses and you've got an airline that's a winner: a perfect ambassador of Italian good taste in the air. Sorry for the bad quality of the picture: it really doesn't do justice to the quality of the food."

Flying from: Venice to: Munich, 14 March 2003
Class: Economy class on ATR72-700.
Meal: Snack - A selection of pastries (two types: apple tart or chocolate/pinenuts), elegantly offered by the flight attendant from a tray.
Drink: "Settimocielo" cocktail out of a selection of soft drinks, juices, wines, mineral water (still/sparkling) or tea/coffee.
Comments: "The new Air Dolomiti food, meal, catering service can be described as simple yet elegant. As most other carriers they too have been cutting the edges on inflight service, yet they master to save costs while providing top quality service to their customers. This was an afternoon flight (roughly 55 minutes in the air). The pastries were rich, moist and really "patisserie" style items: pity they only offered a single round. Their signature cocktail "Settimocielo" (Italian for Seventh Heaven as their
service is named) is simply great: it is a concoction of italian sparkling wine and citrus juices, and it is served in long stemmed glasses (real glass, not plastic!). Add to this a very comfortable green leather seat, fabric covered wall panels, and nice stewardesses: is this really cattle class flying? Sorry for the quality of the picture: too much light "killed" the pastry."

Flying from: Venice VCE to Munich MUC, 7 February 2003
Flight duration: 1h
Aircraft type & class: ATR 72-500 economy
Meal: Afternoon snack - a slice of cake
Drink: orange juice, coffee; tea, wines and soft drinks were also available
Comments: "The cake could be picked from a tray in front of your eyes, and it was pretty good too. Good orange juice and coffee (in a nice ceramic cup for a change). Air Dolomiti used to serve more food when they only had one travelling class, now the full meal service on a tray with plates and *metal* cutlery is reserved for the “Settimocielo Dream” business class service. This was a late afternoon flight though and for one hour it was enough. I will soon try to get some pictures of the lunch-boxes served in economy class in meal-time flights. All in all even though not as good as it was in the past, it still beats LH service, which is good since Air Dolomiti operate all VCE-MUC flights on behalf of Lufthansa."
